Barry Lipscomb is LaL’s Vice President of Operations with responsibility and oversight for operations management, finance, HR, IT, legal, sales, and marketing. Barry’s expertise in building teams, developing new processes, implementing systems, and designing management tools has been honed by a variety of leadership positions in operations and finance across his career for Victoria’s Secret, American Eagle Outfitters, FAO Schwarz, and Hanover Direct. Additionally, Barry served as Director of Operations at a start-up consulting firm focused on the local investing movement in Michigan, and as Executive Director of the Focalizing Institute, a NYC-based research and education non-profit for individual and organizational transformation. While there, he co-authored Focalizing Dynamic Links, a human technology for connecting and communicating more deeply to effect transformation in organizations and institutions. Barry also worked in corporate business operations. He earned a bachelor’s in business from Virginia Tech and has studied management and collaboration methods for self-managing teams. He is passionate about creating and nurturing more aware and responsible business management practices and processes.
